At Universidad EAFIT we conceived the Institutional Educational Project (PEI) as the result of the deliberation of the university community and other interest groups. Students, professors, graduates, collaborators of administrative areas, members of the management bodies, among others, participated, in the second semester of 2018 and after the renewal of the High Quality Institutional Accreditation until 2026, in the creation of the EAFIT 2030 Itinerary, our Institutional Development Plan. In the collective construction of this exercise, which took into account the highlights and recommendations of the National Accreditation Council (CNAJ), we declared the need to transform our educational model. This decision motivated the review of the PEI towards more situated, flexible and experiential paths, a process that was carried out with the participation of several EAFIT students, between 2019 and 2020. In this document we collect the main aspects of this exercise and incorporate the lessons we have learned after the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the future that education foresees and the challenges we face as humanity to which we want to provide answers and solutions from our educational model. Our PEI proposes an imprint that constitutes the bases of a culture of permanent learning. In this way we seek to promote practices for a University that acts sustainably; that creates collectively and connects with the environment and the world; that learns and innovates, and that cares and embraces. We are a community of applied knowledge and know-how made up of students, professors, administrative employees, graduates and allies of organizations because from our Institutional Educational Project we also weave possibilities and connections with companies, public systems and impact ventures to generate value and sustainable development. We are a humanistic and scientific project that inspires, creates and transforms.
