We are top in the world
As an institution we are accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), which makes us the first university in Antioquia to obtain this recognition, the sixth in Colombia and makes us part of the less than 6% of business schools in the world that have it.
Our MAF (Master in Financial Administration), for which you can homologate credits with our undergraduate programs, has been a member of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) for five years, and is the only one with this recognition in Colombia. In addition, we are part of the GARP, the association of experts in the areas of risk, being the only ones in the country with this accreditation in undergraduate and graduate programs.
We are the best School of Finance, Economics and Government in Antioquia, according to the QS Ranking.

Our School is supported by a large ecosystem of laboratories: DataPol, a data method and political analysis laboratory; a financial laboratory and consultancy, which offers consultancies in business and personal finances and financial education.

We have national projection and presence
We are in Bogotá with our master's programs in: Financial Administration (MAF), Administration (MBA), Project Management and Specialization in Finance. And we reach Pereira with the master's degrees in: Administration (MBA), Risk Management. Also with the master's degrees and specializations in: Marketing, Project Management, Financial Administration; and with the Specialization in Finance. In both locations with flexibility of face-to-face classes every fifteen days and every month, according to the program.
We are a key actor in a university city
Medellin is the first city in Latin America to join the PASCAL Network of Learning Cities. Every year, EAFIT receives hundreds of students from more than 15 countries and 446 from other regions in Colombia.

We have more than 20 lines of emphasis for students to choose how to complement their professional development.
Studens can focus their career on topics such as: marketing, applied economics, quantitative economics, finance, project management, international relations, data science, peace building, political communication or government and public policy.
Innovation and leadership
We are innovation in education
We have high-level tools used by investment banks, brokers and large insurance companies in the world.
Students have access to Bloomberg, a specialized software through which they can become certified, and Refinitiv, a software program from the London Stock Exchange.
In addition, our students are continually exposed to conversations and processes with real cases and with graduates. They also have multidisciplinary training thanks to the five EAFIT schools and the three areas which include markets and financial strategy, macroeconomics and financial systems, and policies and development.
We cultivate early leadership and research
At EAFIT we have 14 student groups, with more than 1,500 members, in which leadership skills are developed through practice. As a School we have seven seedbeds and three research groups, all in the highest category A1 in Colciencias.

We have a study and impact center, Valor Público, and a space for innovation and social development: EAFIT Social.
At EAFIT we have a special line of Management and Business that provides consulting, and also ON.going, the high-impact entrepreneurship center of EAFIT, which connects with problems and society; more than 21 business landings and impact ventures are based at our university.
Our professors are in permanent contact with organizations, research and the best universities in the world, as well as with the problems that affect our society.
We are a door to the world
We have 260 international agreements, 190 allied institutions in 30 countries, more than 56 active international students in our School, approximately 200 students who go on exchanges to the world every year. We also have teacher and research exchange programs.
We have a close relationship with Brandeis University, Carlos I of Madrid and Pompeu Fabra University, the Catholic University of Louvain and La Salle Ramon Llull University, for professional opportunities, joint research projects and paid internships.
We form entrepreneurs
From 2018 to 2022, 782 of our undergraduate graduates at EAFIT and 103 graduates have started their own businesses. 12 of them are on the list of the 100 best startups in Colombia.
Areas of Knowledge
The Markets and Financial Strategy area is made up of a multidisciplinary team specialized in economics and finances of organizations with the highest quality standards. Its solid theoretical foundation and experience in these topics in data science, econometrics, and computation, leverages its ability to solve problems of private, public, and social organizations.

The Macroeconomics and Financial Systems area leads the generation and application of new knowledge to solve problems related to the economic progress of countries and the development and operation of their markets and financial institutions. The area has professors and researchers who are responsible for being at the forefront in their respective fields of specialization related to economic growth, inflation, employment, economic cycles, among others.

The area of Policies and Development includes academic skills in the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies within the framework of political and administrative restrictions and possibilities and their relationship with the economic and social development of the territories. It is connected with the understanding of the functioning of political systems and their interaction between social and political actors, with applied analysis in economics in order to generate public value in the resolution of social problems for both the public and private sectors.
